Boomer and Gio opened Monday’s show by expressing their genuine disbelief in the Giants completely no-showing against the rival Cowboys in what was a chance for a statement win to start the season.
“What a shocking whooping the Giants took last night,” Gio said. “Yeah, we know the Cowboys are good…and they always seem to beat them…but the worst performance of the week belongs to the Giants. The Cowboys came in, lit MetLife Stadium on fire, and walked out laughing.
“They got their asses handed to them by their division rival in their own building…a pure embarrassment.”
Many wondered if Sunday would be the Giants’ time to show that the Cowboys era of dominance over them was over, and that they had indeed taken the next step, proving last year was no fluke. Instead, Daniel Jones was sacked seven times, and “Let’s go Cowboys” chants rained down from the stands at MetLife Stadium in a 40-0 embarrassment.
“It was an ass whooping of epic proportions,” Boomer said. “I don’t want to overreact to one game, but you should be pissed at that performance.
“This was an eye opener…Evan Neal was on roller skates. Andrew Thomas, I don’t know what he was doing. The interior of that offensive line couldn’t handle a twist or a stunt to save their life. This was supposed to be fixed.”
