The Jets, unsurprisingly, will be featured on HBO’s Hard Knocks this year, and Aaron Rodgers doesn’t seem like a fan.
Speaking with KPIX at the American Century Championship golf tournament on Thursday, Rodgers said the team’s inclusion in the show was “forced down our throats, and we gotta deal with it.”
Boomer says Rodgers better deal with it, because he is the reason the cameras will be rolling at Jets camp in the first place.
“The reason the Jets are on Hard Knocks, Aaron Rodgers, is because you’re here,” Boomer said. “Listen man, you’re a star, and this is a storyline. If you’re in the TV or documentary business, you want the best storyline you could possibly have to show the audience. You just so happened to want to come to play for the Jets…you’re gonna be the guy.
“That’s why you guys are on Hard Knocks. It’s pretty easy.”
In fairness to Rodgers, he seemed to acknowledge that reality as well when reacting to the news on Thursday.
“Look, I understand the appeal with us,” Rodgers said. “Obviously, there’s a lot eyes on me, a lot of eyes on our team, a lot of expectations for our squad.”
