C-Mac has been a consistent believer in Aaron Rodgers and where he can lead the Jets as the starting quarterback, but he had to call him out after Rodgers justified his podcast appearances and potential vice presidential run after calling for Jets distractions to end during last season.
“I love that Aaron Rodgers is the quarterback of the New York Jets,” C-Mac said. “I still believe he has an excellent season in him, and I believe he’s going to lead a very young and talented team to a division title and the AFC Championship game. “But I can’t just sit idly by and listen to hypocrisy and not call it out, because the guy is full of crap.
“I don’t care about his takes…the point is, the guy got up there and complained about leaks and this and that…and the idea that they need to cut all this crap out and not focus on winning. Then, after confirming that he almost retired to go run a dead campaign and be a potential vice president until November, then he’s asked ‘what about you and the distractions when you got on the team?’”
Rodgers pointed to his podcasts and VP rumors being during the offseason, to which C-Mac quickly called out as further hypocrisy.
“That is absolute lies. I’m sorry,” C-Mac said. “That is BS. That is just garbage…you do Pat McAfee every week during the season, and you don’t limit it to football.
“Acknowledge the fact that you’re part of it. Just say ‘You know what? I guess I could be better too.’ That’s it…unbelievable. The guy cracks me up.”
