After another series loss, this time in incredible fashion thanks to an error and multiple hit by pitches on Sunday, BT says it’s time for the Mets to move on from Buck Showalter.
“He deserves to get crushed,” BT said. “I don’t know any Met fan that believes in Buck Showalter at this point. He’s lost the team, and he’s lost the fanbase. This apparent acceptance of these nightly and daily malfunctions…honestly, is Buck alive? It’s OK to raise your voice and call somebody out, Buck.
“If the Mets want to salvage their season, they’ve got to move on from Buck Showalter. You call DeRosa, you call Bobby V, you call Joe Girardi, you bring up Beltran.”
It doesn’t seem like such a move will be made in the season, at least not judging by Billy Eppler and Steve Cohen’s comments in recent weeks, but BT says the team clearly needs a new voice, and Showalter needs to be fired.
