Kindergarten at P.S. 185- The Walter a Kassenbrock School
My wishlist aims to enrich the environment for my kindergarten students where students feel invited to learn in a safe & functional space that keeps the child as the central focus. When the environment is well organized, children can be set up to be more autonomous thereby contributing to their overall sense of confidence. They become active learners in recognizing their value and contributions to our classroom & their thoughts and ideas are important. Creating a sense of safety in the environment affords young children these benefits that help build a foundational base for a lifelong love of learning. I have specialized in early childhood education for the past 8 years and I love supporting my littles!

I teach 7th grade math in the Bronx. Basic supplies such as pencils are always needed. Every day I need to pass out at least 5 at the beginning of each class. Every year my pencil sharpeners burn out and need to be replaced. I try supplying students with mechanical pencils to relieve the constant need to sharpen or obtain new ones.
