How awesome is it that we get to connect through the greatest songs ever recorded!?!? I'm John Foxx and I have a deep love for all types of Music and NYC truly owns my heart. This city keeps me energized and I'm so excited to host the Afternoon Show here at WCBS FM. I'm a native New Yorker and spent most of my life growing up in the Hudson Valley and have always had a dream of working in NYC.
I love the New York Rangers and when I was growing up I got to live those incredible moments with Mark Messier and Mike Richter along with Adam Graves, Brian Leetch and so many other amazing players that led that team to the Stanley Cup Championship in 1994. I spent many long train rides on Metro North meeting my dad at MSG, grabbing a hot dog and hangin' by the glass during warm ups. Every time I walked up those steps and stood on the plaza outside Penn Station I'd look around and was just captivated by the hustle, grit and pure magnitude of the City. I'd always say to myself "I'm going to work in this town, I'm not sure what it is but I'm gonna try and make it here". That dream came true when I arrived at WPLJ in 2012. As I built my career in radio I also fell in love with Country Music and helped lead the team who launched a new Country Music Station here in NY on 94.7.
I'm a Dad of two so my days are pretty intense and always rewarding. When I get some free time, I love to play golf, just be outside and get to the beach every chance I can. I try to experience something fun, new and different every day and try to meet every moment with excitement and openness to really experience the journey.
