The National Weather Service says two tornadoes touched down Friday evening in Sibley County.
Tornadoes were reported near Henderson and Arlington, Minnesota just before 6 p.m.
Chris O'Brien, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service's Chanhassen office, said the elements for bad weather were there. "The storm prediction center had the area under a marginal risk for severe weather," O'Brien said. "Sometimes something is just missing, but it all came together on Friday evening."
A roof was torn off a building in Arlington, while several powerlines and trees were torn down according to O'Brien.
Damage assessments were underway Saturday. No injuries were reported from the powerful storms.
