54th Edina Art Fair Cancelled

Citing COVID-19 concerns, the Board of Directors of the 50th and France Business Association announced they would cancel this year’s art fair.

The annual event, which began in 1966, has grown to accommodate over 280 artists and 300,000 visitors. The decision to cancel was made to keep attendees, staff members, artists, volunteers and the community at large safe during the pandemic, the organization said in a press release today.

“It saddens us to not be able to host the event this year, but we all know that it is for the common good,” said Rachel Thelemann, executive director of the 50th and France Business Association. “The artists have become family to us throughout the years.”

The nationally recognized art festival originally chose in April to postpone the festival from June to August, but has now moved to cancel the festival entirely. The Edina Art Festival will be held in 2021 from June 4 to 6.
