The CEO of Wayzata-based Cargill tells WCCO Radio the ongoing tariff battle with China is "very troubling."
"It's not good for the American economy and I'm hoping the two countries can find a way out soon," Dave MacLennan told Dave Lee on the WCCO Morning News Wednesday, adding that that China is an important trade partner for Minnesota farmers.
He's said he's also closely watching the proposal to replace NAFTA because Canada and Mexico are also critical partners for Minnesota agriculture.
"Specific to Minnesota, two years ago we as a state exported $6.7 billion worth of goods to Canada and Mexico, more Canada than Mexico, but they're important trading partners for our state."
