President Trump took to Twitter on Tuesday morning to explain how he'll win Minnesota in the 2020 election, claiming the state's economy will play a key role.
He also took another swipe at Fifth District Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, saying she would be another factor in the Republican capturing the state.
Several high-ranking Democrats in Minnesota also used Twitter to respond. Senator and presidential candidate Amy Klobuchar:
You'll never win Minnesota, Donald Trump. I'll make sure of it. Our state economy is strong because of our great workers and businesses. And the last time I checked, racist words and putting a congresswoman and her family in harm’s way aren’t very popular in our state. https://t.co/PF9r2a7U6h

July 23, 2019 Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz looked to set the record straight.
Let’s set this straight. In 2018, Minnesotans voted for a vision of #OneMinnesota — the idea that we are stronger when we are united. Minnesotans came out in record numbers to reject your messages of fear and division. And in 2020, they will do it again. https://t.co/ZL3MWn7ESA

July 23, 2019 The Minnesota DFL party responded with a tweet of its own, and a checklist why the state won't support the president's re-election bid.
Newsflash @realDonaldTrump, we're just not that into you. Minnesotans don't like:❌ attacks on health care❌ tax breaks for billionaires❌ tariffs that devastate farmers❌ putting kids in cages❌ selling out our climate❌ overt racism❌ blatant corruptionSee you in 2020. https://t.co/gINExuvv1R pic.twitter.com/PYbhXzGq0C

July 23, 2019 Trump narrowly lost the state to Hillary Clinton in 2016 on his way to the White House.
Minnesota has not sided with a Republican in a presidential election since Richard Nixon in 1972.
In 2016 I almost won Minnesota. In 2020, because of America hating anti-Semite Rep. Omar, & the fact that Minnesota is having its best economic year ever, I will win the State! “We are going to be a nightmare to the President,” she say. No, AOC Plus 3 are a Nightmare for America!

July 23, 2019 Trump offered no data supporting his claim that Minnesota is having a banner economic year.
