Viking receiver Adam Thielen joined the Morning News with Dave Lee Friday morning as he continues to work himself back from a hamstring injury suffered in Detroit on October 20th.

He missed the Thursday night game last week against Washington, and has been practicing some this week as the Vikings head to Kansas City.  Will he or won't he play?  Thielen sounds hopeful, but an official decision hasn't yet been made by the team.

"It's been a good week," said Thielen.  "Just taking it one day at a time as far as practice goes.  Trying to push it a little more each day.  The progress has been good.  We're going to continue to do that and continue to do everthing I can do be ready on game day and be as prepared as possible."

According to Thielen, the decision on if he plays or not will be made by someone else.

The time off certainly will help Thielen when he does return.  Even if he plays Sunday, he will have had two full weeks off.

Kansas City Head Coach Andy Reid isn't saying who will start.  "We'll see how it goes, we're taking it day-by-day" he told reporters in K.C.

Viking Coach Mike Zimmer is preparing for either possibility.  “We have obviously different calls for both quarterbacks,” Zimmer said, “and then you have your basic things that you try to do to stop the offense. But you have to prepare for both.”

Thielen told Dave Lee that the team hopes Mahomes can play however.
