Caribou Coffee is the latest Minnesota-based company to require face masks in it's stores.  The policy takes effect Monday.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is continuing to encourage mask wearing in public spaces, but has yet to say whether he will implement a statewide mask policy.  Several communities do require them including Minneapolis, St. Paul, Duluth, Rochester and several Twin Cities' suburbs.

In a statement on their website, Caribou says, "We have implemented new safety practices to encourage guest and team member social distancing and contactless interactions while continuing to ensure high levels of sanitization, cleanliness and overall team member safety."

Caribou Coffee was founded in Edina, Minnesota, in 1992 with now over 600 locations worldwide.
