Charges have been filed against a Brooklyn Park woman who has been accused of locking her eight-year-old son in a garage during a winter night, resulting in the boy's death.

37-year-old Tasha Tennin faces one count of second-degree manslaughter filed Monday in Hennepin County.

On February 1st, 2018, Tennis's son was found unresponsive inside a garage.  Court documents describe the boy's skin as "ice cold".

The temperature reached -4 on that date in Minneapolis.

An autopsy also found lesions and scars on the boy's back, which prosecutors claimed were indicitive of abuse.  One of the boy's siblings told investigators that Tennin ordered the boy to sit in the garage.

Tennin is not currently in custody.
