A representative of former professional boxer Floyd Mayweather announced that Mayweather would pay for funeral services for George Floyd.
"He'll probably get mad at me for saying that, but yes, [Mayweather] is definitely paying for the funeral," said Leonard Ellerbe, the CEO of Mayweather Promotions, in an interview with ESPN.
Services for Floyd will be held in Minneapolis, where Floyd died, and Texas, where Floyd spent much of his life.
Mayweather has covered funeral expenses of others before, notably former boxer Genaro Hernandez, who Mayweather beat to win his first-ever world title in 1998.
