There have now been four pedestrians killed in collisions with moving cars in the Twin Cities in the first week of the new year.

The latest happened Saturday night in Inver Grove Heights, and police say the driver of the car that collided with a 55-year-old woman turned herself in.

She died at the scene at the intersection of 80th street and Blaine Avenue in Inver Grove Heights.

The Inver Grove Heights Police Department says a 30-year-old woman turned herself in Sunday after seeing a social media post about the crash.

The woman was booked and released to her attorney while police continue investigating. Police say the victim was found by a passer-by who flagged down an officer Saturday night. Responders tried to revive the victim, but she died.

This comes less than 24 hours after a 19-year-old woman was struck by a moving car in St. Paul.
