If you thought Grand Old Day in St. Paul was a thing of the past back in April, you weren't alone. The event was canceled and then brought back to life just a few days later.

It's been an interesting month for Bob Lawrence, the first year chair of Grand Old Day.

"We've packed about nine months of work into about four weeks," Lawrence said. "It's been amazing to see the amount of people who have stepped up to volunteer, sponsor, and support Grand Old Day."

Sunday marks the 46th annual Grand Old Day. There will be plenty to do with yoga at 8:30 on the street, a parade at 9:30 boasting around 90 entries, food vendors, a children's area, bands, and newly added wiener dog races.

Over 200,000 people attended last year's Grand Old Day. Organizers say a crowd of around 300,000 is expected Sunday in St. Paul.

Attendees are encouraged to plan ahead as road closures could make travel difficult.
