Senator Amy Klobuchar took part in today's confirmation hearings for William Barr, President Donald Trump’s nominee for Attorney General.
Klobuchar, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, mentioned that her father was a reporter, and asked his opinion on jailing journalists for doing their jobs. After pausing for seven seconds, Barr responded to her question.
"Well, (former) Attorney General (Jeff) Sessions said he was going to look at potentially changing those rules at one point, so I'd like you to respond in writing to this, because that was very concerning."
Klobuchar also questioned Barr about the cost associated with the Mueller investigation.
