Minnesotans offering condolences to those affected by the shooting at a synagogue in Southern California on Saturday.
"We are so overwhelmed by the realities of violence in so many houses of worship, and the second one in a synagogue in six months is so close to home," said Rabbi Marsha Zimmerman of Temple Israel in Minneapolis.
"What do we do to stop this hatred and this violence against religious people who are there for peaceful means?" she said.
Rabbi Zimmerman said part of the solution is to continue to build on inter-faith relationships.
Hennepin County Sheriff Dave Hutchinson and police in Edina both said on Twitter over the weekend that they would have officers and deputies keeping an eye on places of worship in the aftermath of the shooting.
