A Mankato woman is now charged after her toddler fell out of her vehicle while strapped into a car seat.

40-year old Maimuna Kunow Hassan is charged with gross midemeanor child-endangerment, and also for driving without a valid license.

Police say as Hassan was making a turn in Mankato late Monday morning, the rear door of her Honda Civic flew open, and the car seat with her two-year old child in it rolled out and fell onto the street. Police say the car-seat did not have a latch to secure it to the vehicle. The child was not hurt.

According to police, Hassan only has an instructional permit to operate a vehicle, which requires her to be driving with another adult in the car.  There were no other adults in the car, according to police.
