Maple Grove Police are are on the scene of what they're calling a suspicious death.
Officers were called to Lakeview Knolls Park at about 6:30 this morning after someone discovered an unconscious man.
"There's some head injury here," Captain Adam Lindquist said. "There's a vehicle in the parking lot and the male was laying in the park. It's clear it's not a natural death."
The department announced in a later release that the man appears to have succumbed to a gunshot wound.
The park is back open after several hours. The Hennepin County Crime Lab and Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office are assisting.
Lindquist says it appears to be isolated and there is no threat to the public.
Last Thursday, Maple Grove Police made in arrest in a homicide on Eagle Lake Blvd. A 42-year-old man was charged with murder.
