Metro Transit suspends blue and green line service, some bus line detours

Due to the continued protests and riots in Minneapolis, Metro Transit has suspended and detoured some train and bus services. 

Due to the riotous behavior and out of a precaution for riders and our employees, METRO Blue Line trains will not run until further notice. There also will not be replacement bus service for the METRO Blue Line.

Out of concern for the safety of riders and employees and in anticipation of scheduled demonstrations, there will be no light rail service for the remainder of Thursday, May 28 (airport shuttle will continue). An update will be posted on social media channels by 10 p.m.

Metro Transit has suspended all metro light rail services and will be detouring the 5, 7 and 21 bus routes due to planned protests. The Metro Transit light rail between Minneapolis-St. Paul terminals 1 and 2 will continue as scheduled.
