A school bus driver was shot in the head Tuesday after a traffic crash on a snowy I-94. It happened on westbound 94 near Chicago Avenue.
Minneapolis Police spokesman John Elder says the shooting was possibly an act of road-rage, but could not confirm.
"That's preliminarily what I'm believing," Elder said. "But I don't know that for a fact."
The bus driver, who has not been identified, was taken to HCMC with what are described as "non-life-threatening" injuries.
A driver of the other car, believed to be the shooter, was arrested at the scene.
Elder says he is unaware if there were children on the bus, which he says is contracted for Minneapolis Public Schools. No one else was injured in either the crash or shooting.
The shooting has turned an already bad commute into a mess in downtown Minneapolis.
