It's coming.
And don't say you weren't warned.
Here's when we expect the snow to be falling at a few locations across the region. Heaviest snow will be Saturday afternoon & evening, & we expect significant travel impacts. Places in western & west central MN could see 12+" by the time the snow ends Sunday morning. #mnwx #wiwx pic.twitter.com/283iGr3Ihf
— NWS Twin Cities (@NWSTwinCities) March 9, 2019A winter weather system that WCCO meteorologist Mike Lynch has been tracking since Tuesday will affect travel with steady heavy, wet snow through 7 a.m. Sunday when a Winter Storm Warning expires. Places west and north of the Twin Cities, including St. Cloud, could see up to a foot. The rainy start to the system will help keep overall accumulation down, but that rain will freeze and make roads slick.
Daylight Saving Time begins this weekend, so set your clocks ahead one hour. We lose one hour of sleep.
