Minneapolis Police say they want to question two people who were seen near Lola on the Lake before it went up in flames last week.  The cause of the fire, MPD officials say, is still not officially determined.

A man and woman are shown on surveillance video at the time the fire started at the restaurant at 3000 E Lake Calhoun Parkway.

"These people were at the pavilion between 3 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. when the fire started," Sgt. Darcy Horn with Minneapolis Police said. "We're looking for anyone with information to help us identify these individuals."

A photo appears to show the man and woman with flames.

Anyone with information is asked to call the MPD Arson Investigation Tip Line at 612-673-3070. Information leading to the identification of these individuals may qualify for a reward.

The fire happened overnight Thursday and left the structure dating back to the 1930s in such bad condition, that city officials announced it would be torn down. Resturant owners said they would have food trucks at the site for the busy summer season. Lola on the Lake was open for no more than two weeks when the fire occurred for its second season at the location.

Fire officials in the early morning hours that day said lightning was a possibility with heavy storms in the area, but arson investigators were on scene as well.
