Flash flood warnings are in effect in parts of Minnesota today, with heavy rain causing several mudslides near St Peter Minnesota on highway 169.
MN dot is advising drivers going southbound to find another route as crews work to clean up debris.
"It was a lot of rain falling over a very short time, " said Minnesota Department of Transportation spokesperson Rebecca Arndt.
She says drivers should avoid the area if possible, as southbound lanes are closed, with the mud starting to encroach on the northbound lane as well.
That part of highway 169 will remain closed Wednesday overnight.
