A 34-year-old man was killed in one of three separate shooting incidents on Friday night and Saturday morning in Minneapolis.

According to the Hennepin County medical examiner, Pierre Fernando Watson died of multiple gunshot wounds.

The report states that Watson was wounded at 1001 N. 7th St, which is not far from West Lydale Ave.

It is the 19th reported homicide in Minneapolis in 2019.

The other shootings were at 33rd and Irving avenues on the north side, as well as north 3rd Street and 2nd Avenue downtown.

According to police reports, more than a dozen squad cars responded to the shootings in north Minneapolis and officers from outside the fourth precinct were called in for assistance.

"We are looking into the circumstances and incidents behind every one of these shootings," said Elder. "It's also going into our strategies for trying to keep these from continuing to happen. We have a lot of proactive measures that are in place, and we will continue to enact more."
