A shooting Wednesday evening in Saint Paul left one person dead and another injured.
The shooting happened at around 5:45 p.m. in the city's Summit-University neighborhood near the intersection of Western Avenue north and Concordia Avenue west. Police found a male victim lying in the street with a gunshot wound to the head. That individual was pronounced dead at the scene.

July 16, 2020 At the same time, officers responding to the area saw a gray vehicle speeding away from the area of the shooting. Officers followed the vehicle, which then crashed at the intersection Marshall Avenue and Chatsworth Street north. One person inside the vehicle was taken in for questioning.
A short time later, another individual showed up at Regions Hospital with a gunshot wound, which police believed was related to the earlier shooting. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made.
