
We have the name of the man who was stabbed to death on New Year's Day in north Minneapolis, and an arrest.
The MPD reports a 39-year-old man is in custody on probable cause murder in the stabbing of Jabir Ahmed Ali of Faribault.
Police found the 25-year-old man from Faribault and another person stabbed in a car near the intersection of West Broadway and Emerson early Wednesday.
The other victim is expected to survive.
The are no arrests in the first homicide of the year in St. Paul, which also happened on New Year's Day.
One person was shot to death near Johnny Baby's in the 900 block of University Avenue West.
