The sheriff of Barron County Wisconsin says 13-year old Jayme Closs has been reunited with aunt, and continues to provide information to investigators.

Jayme spent her first night in her hometown on Friday following nearly three months of captivity. A message from her aunt was posted on the Facebook page Healing for Jayme Closs:

Jayme had a pretty good night sleep it was great to know she was next to me all night what a great feeling to have her home. As a family we will get through all of the healing process Jayme has. It will be a long road but we are family strong and we love this little girl so much!! We will do anything and everything!! My beloved sister Denise pooh and brother in law Jim can rest at peace and I keep assuring them Jayme is safe and we will make sure forever. We all miss them both dearly now they know there Jayme which was there whole world is home with family!! God is Good !! Bless you all!!

Fitzgerald says there has yet to be any prior connection made between Patterson, and the Closs family.

"Nothing in this case shows the suspect knew anyone at the Closs home, or at any time had any contact with anyone in the Closs family."

Jayme Closs disappeared October 15th, 2018, the night her parents were found murdered in their Barron, Wisconsin home.

The girl had not been seen by anyone until Thursday afternoon, when she ran up to a woman walking her dog in Gordon, Wisconsin, about 70 miles north of Barron.

The sheriff also confirmed that a shotgun was discovered, which is consistent to the weapon used to kill Jayme's parents, and used to enter the Closs home.
