Eight people were transported to the hospital with injuries after two buses collided on Highway 280 and Larpenteur Avenue Thursday morning.
"We're just thankful that there is no one deceased, that we don't have to visit anyone to let them know they're not going to have a loved one anymore," State Patrol Lt. Gordon Shank said.
Authorities say one of the buses was carrying 43 passengers from Little Falls headed to the State Fair. The other bus was empty, except for the driver. Both drivers are among those in the hospital. Highway 280 is expected to be closed for several hours as the accident reconstruction continues.
