Increase in Minnesota COVID-19 cases slows slighly, up by 27 to 262

There were 27 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in Minnesota on Monday, bringing the statewide total to 262. The increase was smaller than the previous day’s increase of 66. 

There are now coronavirus cases in 31 Minnesota counties, with Waseca County reporting its first confirmed case on Tuesday. 


The health department reports 21 of those cases resulting in hospitalizations, with 15 of them still in the hospital, and 88 patients who no longer need to be isolated. There have been approximately 5,821 tests submitted to the state public health laboratory.
