There are now nine reported fatal coronavirus cases in Minnesota

Minnesota's reported coronavirus fatalities nearly doubled overnight.

The state health department reported on Sunday nine deaths in Minnesota from coronavirus, up from five reported on Saturday.


There are now 503 confirmed cases in the state, up 62 from a day earlier.

There are 252 patients that no longer need to be isolated, and 39 people who are infected who are still in the hospital.

Coronavirus cases are now reported in 45 counties, including new cases in Clearwater, Cottonwood, Douglas, Isanti, and Ottertail.

That new number reprsents more than half of Minnesota's 87 counties.
