Voters are going to the polls on Tuesday across Minnesota for some important local races and school spending questions.

According to the Minnesota Secretary of States Office, there are a total of 22 city and municipal elections.

Some of those include elections for mayor and city council in Bloomington, St. Louis Park, Golden Valley and Hopkins.

In St. Paul, there is a city council race, along with a controversial trash collection ordinance.

There are also a number of school referendums on local ballots.

The largest bonding referendum is in White Bear Lake.

Voters there are asked to approve the borrowing of $300 million for new school buildings to handle a large projected increase in enrollment over the next 10 years.
