The first day of school is always filled with anticipation.
Nothing compares to what’s in store this time around.
One way or another, school is back in session for much of the state.
It was in late July when Gov. Walz called on administrators each individual school district to devise their own return to class and self-learning plans.
So, classes are either on-line, in-person, or a hybrid of both to start the school year.
In both Minneapolis and St. Paul, all students are starting off the semester with on-line classes.
St. Paul administrators are already working on plans to bring kids back to classroom buildings.
Anoka-Hennepin, with the state’s largest enrollment, has a hybrid plan, with kids attending classes for two days, and going on-line for three.
