It's a hot one on the fifth of July in the Twin Cities.
With temperatures in the low 90's and humidity climbing, a heat advisory is in effect through 8:00 Sunday night.
A Heat Advisory has been issued for the metro counties with heat index values in the mid 90s late this morning through the afternoon. Heat advisory thresholds are a bit higher outside the metro, but that doesn't mean it will be any cooler! #mnwx #wiwx pic.twitter.com/P3oHsS16cp

July 5, 2020 It will feel like the mid-90's, and people are advised to avoid strenuous outdoor activities.
That means staying indoors in air conditioning may be the best bet.
Anyone who does go outside is urged to wear light clothing and drink plenty of water.
And more could be coming into the coming week.
"We are expecting the heat and humidity to persist," said forecaster Lisa Schmit of the National Weather Service in Chanhassen. "We're going to be right around the heat advisory criteria for the metro area."
With all this heat and humidity, people are urged to check on family members and neighbors, especially those who don't have A/C.
