
Federal health officials are warning of a Hepatitis A outbreak that includes Minnesota, and warning people not to eat blackberries purchased at Fresh Thyme grocery stores purchased between Sept. 9 and Sept. 30.
Hepatitis A virus affects the liver and could cause flu-like symptoms for weeks.
The FDA says it originated several weeks ago in Nebraska. The FDA and CDC say they have 11 confirmed cases, six of which are in Nebraska.
The blackberry warning affects Minnesota, Nebraska, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Minnesota, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
