A St. Paul man was charged Friday with second-degree murder following a hit-and-run Wednesday night in Blaine.
Police say Kenneth Alan Neisen, 58, of Brooklyn Park died at a local hospital after he was hit by car shortly after 9:30 p.m. Wednesday outside the Target Store at 1500 109th Ave. NE. Pierre Jerel Anderson, 30, of St. Paul was arrested in Ham Lake later in the evening after having fled the scene.
Anderson was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit outside of a gas station.

One person is dead following a hit-and-run Wednesday night in Blaine.
The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. at the Target Store at 1500 109th Ave. NE.
According to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office, a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle which fled the scene. The victim was taken to Mercy Hospital by Allina Ambulance and later died at the hospital.
A suspect was taken into custody by the Anoka County Sheriff's Office after a brief foot pursuit. Details of the invididuals involved haven't been released as the case is under investigation.
The Anoka County Sheriff's Office and Blaine Police Department are on scene of a hit and run at the Target Store in Blaine. We are working to gather information and a press release by the Sheriff's Office will be released as soon as possible.
