Thousand of Minnesota students gathered Western Sculpture Park Friday morning with one goal: fight climate change.
"We do know there are a lot of representatives who stand in solidarity with us," Jama said. "Those that don't, they're going to understand that this is a movement by us marching the streets and showing up at the capitol."

— Mark Freie (@MarkFreie) September 20, 2019Friday's march led students through St. Paul streets to the steps of the Minnesota State Capitol. There were plenty of adults in attendance, with some marching and standing by and showing their support.
Among them, Linda Neukirtcher, a school bus driver in the St. Paul School District.
"These are my kids, these are my people," Neukirtcher said as she fought back tears. "It means a lot to see these kids stand up for something like climate change."
An estimated 6,000 people reached the steps of the Minnesota State Capitol on Friday.
