
The availability of quarterback Tanner Morgan is still not known for the Gophers' football game on Saturday at Northwestern.
Cole Kramer of Eden Prairie came in last weekend after Morgan left the game.
The other backup is Jacob Clark of Rockwell, Texas.
Morgan himself was listed as a backup to begin preseason drills, and was promoted to starter when Zach Annexstad suffered a foot injury.
Annexstad remains out indefinately.
Morgan has started 16 games over the past two seasons, with the Gophers winning 13 times.
Four times in his career, Morgan has thrown for more than 300 yards in a game, including his last two starts.
This season, the redshirt sophomore from Union, Kent. has completed 156 passes for 2,468 yards and 22 touchdowns with four interceptions.
On Tuesday, the Gophers find out where they stand in the College Football Playoff Rankings.
Last week they were eighth, and are expected to drop following their loss to the Hawkeyes.
The Gophers are 11th in both the AP and coaches polls after reaching number seven in both rankings last week.
Kickoff for Saturday's game against the Wildcats is 11:00 a.m. at Ryan Field in Evanston, Ill.
Northwestern is 2-8 and winless in seven Big Ten games.
Wisconsin plays host to Purdue on Saturday.
