One dead in Saturday crash of small plane near Rogers

Authorities say one person has died in a plane crash in a wooded area near Rogers.

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office said the plane went down Saturday morning in the Crow-Hassan Park Reserve along the Crow River.

Hennepin County Sheriff Dave Hutchinson said one person who was in the plane was found dead at the scene.

The National Transportation Safety Board says the plane was a single-engine Beech A36. 

The victim's name is not released.

The plane went down in an area popular for walkers, but no one else was reported hurt.
