Prince Estate blasts Trump for song usage

When it was finally time for President Donald Trump to make his way onto the stage Thursday night inside Target Center, he did so with the help of Prince's song "Purple Rain."

That action drew immediate criticism from Prince's Estate, which tweeted a photo of a letter confirming almost a year ago that the campaign would "not use Prince’s music in connection with its activities going forward.”

The letter, dated almost exactly one year ago, shows that the estate for the late Minneapolis rock icon said it would never agree to let the Trump Campgian use Prince's music.
