The Twins made it official on Tuesday that they have signed Miguel Sano to a three-year contract that'll keep the slugging infielder with the team through at least 2023.
According to team officials, the deal is worth $30 million, with a club option for a fourth season that would pay Sano an additional $14 million.
Reports that the two sides had agreed to a contract began surfacing last week.
Sano, 26, would have been eligible for free agency after the 2021 season.
Despite missing the first month-and-a-half of the 2019 season because of a lacerated foot and playing only 105 games, Sano had career highs with 34 home runs and 79 RBI.

But he was an American League All-Star in 2017, hitting 28 homers before a leg injury ended his season early.
