Police looking into two reported homicides on Sunday in north Minneapolis

Minneapolis police are looking into a reported homicide for the second time in less than 24 hours.  

The first happened just after midnight on Sunday morning, the second at 7:36 p.m.

In the most recent incident, a man in his 40's died from gunshot wounds after officers responding to 911 calls on the 1800 block of Lowrey Avenue North found him in a car.

Lifesaving attempts at the scene were unsuccessful and the man died at North Memorial Hospital.

The man's name is not released, and there are no arrests.

Police are asking anyone with information to call crimestoppers. 

This comes after a man was found shot to death earlySunday morning in north Minneapolis.  

The victim was found inside a car on the 24-hundred block of Emerson Avenue.  

There's no ID and no arrests reported.

The shootings brings the homicide toll in Minneapolis this year to 55.
