Multiple outlets are reporting that Timberwolves and Lynx owner Glen Taylor is continuing talks with a former NBA team executive about selling his franchises.
The Athletic reports that Taylor and Daniel Strauss had an exclusivity sale agreement that expired last week, but talks are continuing.
Any sale of the two professional basketball teams would be contingent upon both remaining in Minnesota.
Strauss is co-founder of several health-care companies and sold his share in the Grizzlies in 2018.
Taylor purchased the Timberwolves from the original owners, the late Harvey Ratner and Marv Wolfenson, in 1994for about $88 million.
According to Forbes, the Wolves are now worth more than $1.3 billion, which would make them the third least-valuable franchise in the NBA.
Taylor added the Lynx when the team was founded before te 1999 WNBA season.
