November 12, 2019 Baldelli led the surprising Twins to the second-best record in team history, 101-61, and their first AL Central crown since 2010. Baldelli's 2019 Twins also set a Major League Baseball season record for most home runs by a team, 307.
Baldelli is the fouth Twins manager to win the award (Tom Kelly 1991, Ron Gardenhire 2010, Paul Molitor 2017).
