Omar calls for love and compassion to fight hate and terror

Fifth District Congresswoman Ilhan Omar is reacting to the deadly terror attacks on mosques in New Zealand by calling on people to fight terrorism with love and with compassion.

Omar made the remarks hours after 49 people died in the targeted attacks in Christchurch, telling reporters that she didn't hear about the killings until waking up Friday morning.

Omar was in Washington when she met with reporters on Friday.
