It appears to be the end of the line for another big retailer.
Reuters is reporting Friday that Payless ShoeSource is planning close its remaining stores when it files for a second bankruptcy later this month.
According to the report there is a small chance the company could be saved, but for now they are planning to run out of business sales as soon as next week.
Payless has 2,300 stores nationwide, 14 of them in the Twin Cities metro.
When Payless first filed for bankruptcy in 2017, stores in Cottage Grove, Elk River, Moorhead, and Medford were closed.
