Pedestrian killed in Monday crash identified as Minneapolis man

We now have the name of the pedestrian killed in an incident on highway 252 in Brooklyn Park Monday night.

According to State Patrol, 35-year-old Patrick Sundance Mack of Minneapolis was walking westbound against the "Do Not Cross" sign near Brookdale Drive when he was struck and killed by a northbound vehicle.

The crash caused the shutdown of the highway for several hours.

The driver of the car, 37-year-old Kelly Spring of Maple Grove, was not injured. 

Drugs or alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash.

No charges are filed.
