General Managers watch the game differently. Which means, they also watch practices differently than the average observer. What looks 'normal' to some, may not look so 'normal' to the trained eye.

Former Minnesota Vikings GM Jeff Diamond was in Eagan, MN on behalf of News Talk 830 WCCO for the team's organized team activities (OTA's).

First-round expectations

It's no secret that the team needs to improve on the offensive line. That's why they invested a first-round draft pick in Garrett Bradbury out of NC State. Diamond chatted one-on-one with Bradbury following practice. A practice where he took reps as the starting center.

Never stop working

This time of year you'll see headlines and tweets reporting which star player isn't participating in OTA's. There was never a doubt that former undrafted WR Adam Thielen would be on the field. Diamond chatted with the two-time pro-bowler about how he improve his game even more.

Veteran presence

Two names that have become synonymous with Vikings football over the past few seasons, Kyle Rudolph and Harrison Smith. But, there is some doubt that Rudolph will be on the roster this season. Here's what head coach Mike Zimmer had to say about that, trying to put speculation to rest.
