
The Sears' store in St. Paul closed with a whimper.
A handful of customers showed up on the store's final day Sunday to pick over remaining merchandise and store fixtures not usually for sale to the general public.
The building opened in 1963 on Rice Street not far from the state capitol building.
Last fall, it was targeted for closure after Sears Holdings filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy.
It's not known what'll happen to the property in St. Paul after the closing.
The Sears stores in the Mall of America and Ridgedale close in March.
